The Outlet & Flowers

Hi there blog world!

I've finally taken the plunge and started a blog. I've been planning my wedding for a few months now - but in the past few weeks, really, REALLY, starting to get into it. Yeah, we have the big things covered, the date, the place, the dress (maybe...), and the DJ, but I've been really digging into the little stuff lately and I need a place to vent. Maybe vent isn't quite the word I'm looking for, but as my post title indicates, I needed an outlet to share all of the inner workings of my brain during this amazing planning process. I love my fiance, family, & friends dearly, but I get the feeling that they just can't handle hearing from me so often about wedding details. Its only one day, right? Well yeah!! But one of the MOST IMPORTANT days of my LIFE people!

OK - you get the point. I need to chat about this & I hope you enjoy and can follow along or even comment to give me more ideas. I am constantly brainstorming and websurfing for new ideas and details to add in to our big day. Now that you're on board with me (yes - I'm talking to the zero followers I have at the moment), I just wanted to share my favorite find of the day.

I received a contract this morning from one of the florists I met with last week and wasn't super happy with the selection of flowers for the bouquets. I had said, Reds.... Orange.... Maybe some Pink.... Some sort of light blue accents and I have to have deep red Dahlias... And I think thats about all I gave her. In hindsight, probably not the best description to work from. Anyway - she came back with the red dahlias, some pink and orange gerbera daisies, and blue thistle. Just didn't pop in my mind - so off to google images I went. After a few pages I found this....

Holy flippin' amazing, right? I LOVE IT! And now I've decided I have to have it. The price tag on this one came in somewhere between $250-$295. Whoa - quite a bit above my $150 budget. I'll have to work on that, but for now, I just want to gaze at this piece of hand-held beauty.

Stay tuned! More wedding details, stories, projects, and photos to come!
